5 Reasons to Support Independent Creators in 2026

support independent creators esoteric deals community

I want to take a moment to say something simple but important: thank you.

Every person who has visited EsotericDeals.com, clicked one of my links, read one of my posts, or engaged with my content has played a role in helping support independent creators like me.

Whether you found me through TikTok, Amazon, Linktree, Gumroad, or just browsing online, your time and engagement matter more than most people realize.

And let me buss ah blank for my supporters right here, because I mean this exactly as I say it: sometimes the people who support you the hardest are complete strangers.

That is not bitterness. That is not drama. That is observation. That is lived truth.

Two things I saw recently online really gave me life and kept me going in spite of everything:

Sometimes God will place strangers in your life to take you higher, so don’t be discouraged when you do not see familiar faces in your corner.

Because God sees how your people do not support you, that’s why He sent you strangers.

That landed in my spirit in a real way. Because many can relate when I say you often get better support from strangers than from “friends” and “family.” And strangely enough, instead of breaking me, that truth makes me more determined.

Why It Matters to Support Independent Creators Online

When you support independent creators, you’re not just clicking a link. You’re helping someone build something real.

For me, that includes running EsotericDeals, sharing discounts, writing blog posts, publishing books, creating journals, and building tools that help families, parents, and entrepreneurs save money and move with more intention.

It also means recommending useful things like:

Programs like these exist because major platforms recognize the role creators play in modern online shopping. You can learn more here: Amazon Associates Program.

These kinds of resources can make life a little easier, and sharing them is part of what it means to support independent creators in a real way.

The Community That Helped Me Build This

Some of you discovered my work through TikTok. That matters. Because engagement is support too.

Follow me on TikTok

Likes, comments, shares, saves, reposts — all of that helps support independent creators by telling the algorithm the content matters and deserves to be seen.

My Books and Products

If you’ve visited my Linktree, then you’ve probably seen some of the projects that came from this community.

One of my favorite creations is a series of self-appreciation journals called:

  • Black Girl Remember This
  • The Beginning
  • The Becoming
  • The Becoming Louder

These journals are about reflection, confidence, identity, and self-worth. They celebrate girls and women who look like my daughters and me, and they were created with love, not exclusion.

It is simply a space to hold up and praise Black girls in a positive, intentional, and affirming way.

Encouraging Reading for Kids

I also wrote a children’s book inspired by my sons and their love of food, family, and culture.

The story is called Achilles & Adonis Cook Curry Chicken and Dumplings.

The goal was simple: encourage reading by connecting stories to something children already love and recognize.

A Small Reset

Right now, I’m restarting parts of my Amazon affiliate traffic strategy.

Due to a lower support rate from some of the shared affiliate codes, I’m taking a short pause to rebuild the traffic system that powers the deal alerts.

That means there may be a temporary delay in some of the larger Amazon discount posts.

But rebuilding is part of the process. Resetting is part of the process. Starting again is part of the process.

How You Can Continue Supporting Independent Creators

Supporting independent creators does not always mean buying something. Sometimes the strongest support is simple engagement.

  • Sharing blog posts with your people
  • Leaving comments or feedback
  • Visiting websites regularly
  • Using affiliate links when you were already going to shop
  • Following and engaging on TikTok or other platforms

Every one of these actions helps support independent creators and keeps them building useful websites, products, resources, and communities.

Disappointment Is Just Another Day

Entrepreneurship is not a straight line.

Sometimes things slow down. Sometimes support is quiet. Sometimes you have to restart while still smiling and still showing up.

But disappointment is just another day when you are building something meaningful.

And for everyone who has supported me so far — you know who you are.

You are the reason this continues.

Thank you.
